This place is best explored by grabbing your tent and spending the night! It's on top of a "bald" meaning you get an incredible 360 degree view of the blue ridge mountains.

My advice -- get there in the afternoon and set up your tent. In the evening, enjoy the sunset and, in the morning, watch the sunrise!
